Our Property
We purchased our cabin in 2005. After many hours gutting the cabin and rebuilding, the renovation is nearly complete. We are still working on landscaping. The cabin had a family of squirrels living in it, so we found hundreds of acorns in the walls during the renovation process. This is how we came upon the name.

The kitchen is outfitted with a full-sized oven/stove, microwave, garbage disposal, coffee maker, crock-pot, refrigerator/freezer and cooking supplies and eating utensils.
While this is a chance to get away from it all, the living area includes a television, wii (with some games), a dvd player. Wi-fi is available at the local McDonalds. There is no cable or internet access, but cell phone coverage is good.
The yard includes a fire pit with seating and some wood on the property. There is off-street parking, a charcoal grill, a picnic table on the deck, an upper and lower deck with many trees surrounding them to relax under. There are deer in the area because it is a protected site. There are also wild animals in the area, so please use good judgment.
The loft is a great place to play games and read. You'll find a variety of games to play. The upper deck can also be accessed through the loft. This deck is a great place to read when the weather cooperates.
